2004 Report on the state of poverty in the Brussels-Capital Region (9th Poverty Report)
The first part of the 9th report on the poverty situation was published in April 2004. It was used as the basis for the roundtable of 12 October 2004 organised with all the individuals and bodies concerned in order to "discuss concrete actions to be implemented to tackle poverty, exclusion and inequalities of access to rights in the Brussels-Capital Region".
On the basis of the conclusions and proposals set out in the report on the poverty situation and the summary of the roundtable, the Brussels parliament has drawn up a series of recommendations which have been transmitted to the various levels of power, so that they can be implemented.
The second part of the 9th report on the poverty situation contains:
a list of the bodies invited to the roundtable of 12 October 2004, approved by the Joint college;
a summary of the roundtable of 12 October 2004;
the parliamentary recommendations of 2 March 2005 put forward with a view to determining the actions to be implemented to tackle poverty;
the ordinance on the preparation of the annual report on the poverty situation in the Brussels-Capital Region;
the ordinance describing the remit of the Health and Social Observatory.
